Ultimate Water Management system

The Ultimate Water Management system (UWMS) is a comprehensive solution for maintaining crystal clear water, at the desired temperature, with minimal effort.    At the heart of the system, a silent circulation pump with a flow rate of 5 GPM, filters, circulates, and ozonates 100% of the water continuously.     When there is a requirement to add heat to the water, the circulation pump is used instead of the main jet pump, therefore the operation is completely silent and more economical.

Ensuring the highest level of energy efficiency, the Ultimate heater converts all of the electrical energy into heating the water, unlike less efficient heating systems that must transfer the heat through a housing, before it is absorbed by the water.   Complimenting high energy efficiency, the UWMS uses an array of contact chambers and twelve (12) mixing points to enhance the transfer of ozone into the water.  No other water management system is as effective in transferring ozone into solution.  Effective transferring of ozone into solution is the most critical attribute of successful water purity management.

Listed below are the key sales feature/benefits of the Ultimate Water Management SystemÔ:

  • Filtration
    • 45 square feet of spun polyester filter medium
    • Dedicated filter with no bypass for 100% spa water filtration
    • Filters out 40 microns and larger
    • Water flow is extremely slow ensuring that particles and debris are removed
      • 5 gallons per minute compared to 30 GPM in traditional filtration systems
      • The velocity of the water 0.17 inches per minute compared to 1.06 inches per minute in traditional filtration systems
    • 100% of the water in a 400 gallon spa passes through the filter 18 times per day.  In traditional systems the water passes through the filter 9 times per day.
  • Ultimate Circulation PumpÔ
    • Energy Efficient
      • The Ultimate Circulation PumpÔ only requires 98 Watts of power to run compared to 180 Watts for a traditional circulation pump and 300 watts for a traditional low speed jet pump
      • 84% of the input power that is used to run the Ultimate Circulation PumpÔ is returned into the spa as heat or in economic terms, $0.84 of every dollar used to run the water management system is captured as heat in the spa
      • The circulation pump provides 2/3 of the heating requirements for the spa  (In a 400 gallon spa this is enough heat to offset a 2° heat loss per day.)
      • Reduces the heating requirements of the Ultimate HeaterÔ, thus increasing the heater and heater control life
    • Silent Operation
      • Silent and vibration free
      • Eliminates the need to turn on noisy jet pumps for heating and filtering
    • No-Shaft Floating Impeller Design
      • Magnetic drive
      • Eliminates conventional motor shaft and bearings—most common cause for pump failure
      • There are no moving parts in the motor, the only moving part is the rotor/impeller assembly
    •  Seal-Less Design
      • Eliminates conventional pump seal.
      • Because of the wet rotor/impeller design there is no need for a traditional pump seal
      • Traditional pump seals uses friction to achieve a watertight seal which limits the traditional pump seal warranty to one year
    • During operation, the rotor/impeller assembly hydroplanes and there are no moving parts in contact with stationary parts therefore no wear points
    • Designed for continuous operation
      • No shaft seal to wear, low starting torque, low power consumption and high heat recovery
      • No centrifugal switches within the motor to wear out.  Frequent cycling does not harm pump in any way
  • Ultimate HeaterÔ
    • High Velocity “Flow-Thru” Design
      • The outer wall of the element is ¼” from the inside wall of the housing ensuring that the water is directed across the entire heating element sheathing, transferring all the heat efficiently and quickly.
      • Water velocity across the element is approximately 28 feet per second -- traditional flow through heater design using a low speed jet pump, the water velocity is about 7 feet per second.
      • High velocity water transfers the heat off of the element, lowers the element temperature and prevents potential mineral deposits
      • The heater housing is in line with the bends of the heating element.  In traditional heaters, the element is bent within the heater housing which creates  “dead-flow” areas which causes hot spots and mineral deposits on the backside of the bends which is the most common cause of failure
      • The Ultimate HeaterÔ has a total of only 180° of bends compared to the 1080° of bends in a traditional heater design
      • The Ultimate HeaterÔ has an element bend radius of 3 inches compared to a ½” bend radius for traditional heaters.  The tighter the bend, the thinner the metal becomes on the outside of the bend causing the metal to stretch farther and creating thin spots on the heater element sheathing.
    • Configurable heater output – the Ultimate HeaterÔ can be configured to have 4 different outputs at 240 volts -- 5.5kW, 4.1kW, 2.7kW and 2.1kW which allows greater flexibility in adapting the spa for applications where limited total current is available, such as Europe and older homes
    • Corrosion resistant
      • The heater housing is made of seamless 316L stainless steel
      • The element sheathing is made of seamless 825 incolloy
      • Seamless heater housing and element sheathing construction is important because all of the metal is of the same molecular composition.  Traditional heaters are rolled and have a welded seam which sets up a galvanic cell causing corrosion between dissimilar metals if the water Ph is not perfectly neutral.
    • Low Watt Density –
      • The Ultimate HeaterÔ has a Watt density of 70 Watts per square inch.
      • Traditional heaters have a Watt density of 140 watts per square inch.
      • In lower watt density heaters more surface area allows the heat to be transferred into the water therefore lowering the surface temperature of the heater element sheathing.
      • The lower the surface temperature of the heater element sheathing, the less likely chlorine gas bubbles will form and the less calcium will plate out on the element sheathing.  Calcium deposits are a primary cause of heater failure because they insulate the heater and causing it to burn it-self out.
  • Ultimate CD Ozone GeneratorÔ
    • The Ultimate CD Ozone GeneratorÔ has an output of 38mg per hour or 300 parts per million continually
    • The Ultimate CD Ozone GeneratorÔ is located away from heat producing components.  The cooler the input air the more ozone is produced therefore increases the effectiveness of the system
    • The Ultimate Ozone CD GeneratorÔ is compact unlike cumbersome UV bulb ozone generators.
    • Eliminates voltage spikes
      • Traditional UV bulb ozone generators have a ballast and starter that naturally causes a voltage spike which can cause problems with spa-pack electronics, GFCI tripping, or other electronic devices.
    • Extremely Energy Efficient, the Ultimate CD Ozone GeneratorÔ requires only 11 watts of power-- 1/5 of the power that is required to run a traditional UV bulb ozone generator.
    • All ozone generators degrade over time and after 1 year should be replaced so that ozone output is at it optimal level – the UV ozone generator replacement cost is generally a lot more expensive than a CD generator replacement
  • Ultimate Flow SwitchÔ
    • The Ultimate Water Management SystemÔ uses a flow switch to ensure water is flowing through the system
      • Traditional systems use a pressure switch to detect flow which detects pressure rather than flow and may not ensure that there is enough water flow in the system
    • The Ultimate Flow SwitchÔ is extremely reliable.  Pressure switches are among the top causes of failure in a spa
    • Easy to troubleshoot -- the Ultimate Flow SwitchÔ is clear and provides a visible way to determine what condition is being detected.
